- $8,400
- What was delivered
- Orchard classroom with twelve heritage fruit trees, irrigation and outdoor seating
The campaign closed in November 2025 at $8,400 — every dollar of it raised from families, two local businesses and the school community.
Planting day was the first Saturday of April. Forty families turned up with shovels. The local nursery threw in the mulch.
Since then the orchard classroom has been timetabled for food technology, junior science and the Thursday breakfast club. Students maintain the irrigation as part of their unit work.
“The kids who never speak up in class are the ones running the watering roster.”
