The project
Mildura summers are brutal on a school garden. Last February we lost most of what the Grade 2s had planted.
Two 5,000L rainwater tanks plumbed into wicking beds mean the garden holds water where the roots are, and keeps going through the holidays.
Students will monitor tank levels and water use as part of their science units.

What if we don't reach the target?
One tank and three beds is a working system. A second tank doubles the storage if we get there.
