A kitchen garden for every class
Brunswick East Primary School·Brunswick East, VIC
Six wicking beds so 420 students can grow, cook and eat their own produce.
Sample content — these campaigns are illustrative examples while we build the site.
The project
Our garden started as two tyres and a lot of enthusiasm. Four years on, every class has a garden lesson each fortnight — and we have run out of room.
Six wicking beds would give each year level its own growing space, and a shared herb bed the canteen can pick from. Wicking beds hold water at the base, so the garden survives the school holidays without a roster of volunteers.
The children plan the plantings, weigh the harvest in maths, and cook it in the kitchen program. Families take home surplus produce on Fridays.

What if we don't reach the target?
If we raise less than the full target, we will build fewer beds — starting with the two shared beds every year level can use. Nothing is returned; every dollar goes into the garden.
Ready Fund Grow is a keep-what-you-raise platform: the organisation receives every dollar raised whether or not the target is met, and there is no automatic refund.
